4 Larger-Scale Vax Centers Opening Today In CO: Find Out Where

Beginning Monday (Sept. 20), four new large community vaccination sites will be opened across Colorado's Front Range in an effort to reach and provide all Coloradans with a chance to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

As per a post from Governor Jared Polis via his official Facebook page, the vaccination centers will operate though at least the end of the month (Sept. 30).

As per Governor Polis, the four new vaccination sites, along with their hours of operation are as follows:

Aurora - Aurora Municipal Center

Location: 15151 E Alameda Pkwy, Aurora, 80012

**Drive-through clinic**

Hours of Operation: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Littleton - Southwest Plaza Mall

Location: 8501 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, 80123

Hours of Operation:10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Colorado Springs - Chapel Hills Mall

Location: 1710 Briargate Blvd, Colorado Springs, 80920

**Walk-in clinic**

Hours of Operation: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Dick’s Sporting Goods Park - Parking Lot

Location: 6000 Victory Way, Commerce City, 80022, Lot F Sept. 20-22, Lot H Sept. 23-30

**Walk-up clinic**

Hours of Operation: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

In addition to these larger-scale vaccination sites, there are more than 1,600 enrolled vaccine providers in Colorado which you can visit to receive your COVID-19 vaccine. On August 29, intensive care units (ICU) in Larimer County hospitals hit full capacity. Nearly a month later, that hasn't changed — the county's ICUs have been operating at or over capacity since August 30.

This last weekend, Larimer and Weld counties were completely out of any extra ICU beds, primarily due to the ultra-contagious COVID-19 delta variant and, as well as low vaccination rates in some areas.

"I"m begging, pleading our community to get vaccinated as soon as possible and wear a mask indoors right now so we can slow the spread and give our hospitals a break," Tom Gonzales, Director of the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment (LCDHE), told the station. "I'm concerned. This can't last much longer."
