Daylight Saving Time kicks in at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 14. The sun will rise shortly after 7 a.m. and the sun will set shortly after 7 p.m. For people like me who enjoy the longer evening hours, this will certainly make us happy.

The official beginning of the spring season will occur with the Spring Equinox on March 30 at 3:37 a.m. According to TimeandDate.com the longest day of the year in Fort Collins will be on June 20. On this date, the sun will rise at 5:22 a.m. and the sun will set at 8:34 p.m. In total, we will have 15 hours and 4 minutes of daylight on June 20.

The latest sunset in Fort Collins will occur between June 24 through June 29 when the sun will set at 8:35 p.m. for five consecutive days.

Greeley will get a little less time with the sun on the longest day of the year with only 15 hours and 3 minutes of daylight. The sun will rise in Greeley on June 20 at 5:29 a.m. and will set on 8:32 p.m.
