I recently grabbed the boy and hit the road to Boulder, a place that I've always enjoyed and loved from the first time I visited there back in the early 2000's.

I am an avid hiker and love anything with the great outdoors and there aren't too many places better to enjoy the outdoors than here in Northern Colorado and this time around, we explored the beautiful area of Boulder, in particular the Mesa Trail which leads up to Mallory Cave.

Even though the actual entrance to the cave is closed, this trail provides SO much more than just that one cave with places and other little caves and crevices for kids to explore and the views abound from every direction on the way up and down.

With many different side trails and options available, the one we took up towards Mallory Cave, it was about a 5.5 - 6 mile hike roundtrip.
