UPDATE: Lock Out Lifted at Thompson Valley High School

UPDATE: About an hour after the school was put on lock out, the lock out was lifted according to the Thompson School District. No staff or students were reported injured the incident.

Thompson School District said they were notified via second-hand information that a student with a weapon was currently at the Thompson Valley High School. Loveland Police responded immediately.

A security seep of the facility was conducted and determined there was no threat

School District staff stressed that the school was on "Lock out", not a "Lock Down".

There is a difference between a lock down and lock out.

Lock out - suspicious activity outside of the school, no one allowed in or out.

Lock down - suspicious activity inside of the school, no one allowed in or out.
