Over the weekend, the Colorado Eagles season came to an end, and while the end of any season for any of our favorite teams is a bittersweet time, this particular one happens to be a little sweeter than most.
The Eagles provided some high flying and exciting moments at the Budweiser Events Center along with some wonderful nights like "Teddy Bear Toss Night"  where thousands of teddy bears were tossed onto the ice to help local kids in need. And, let's not forget about our "Pot O Gold Night" where Eagles Country came together along with the team to raise over $115,000 to help 5-year-old Jayce Vogel and his family.
Just to be a small part of this event and to be able to help this young man and his family was something that was absolutely incredible.

As my first season as emcee for the Colorado Eagles comes to a close, I reflect with gratitude and incredible memories of being a part of the Eagles and Colorado Avalanche families. This was more than just getting the crowd revved up and helping make fans’ game day experience exciting and memorable.
For me, this ended up more about the relationships made…with my Eagles co-workers, the players, coaching staff and of course the fans, Eagles Country who without a doubt are THE best in the American Hockey League. Not only are they the loudest, but some of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever met.
My good buddy Big Rob from our sister station 99.9 The Point set the standard for what it meant to be a part of Eagles games and the incredible game-day atmosphere for like 15 years before I had the honor to take over this year.
The fans not only welcomed me with open arms but accepted me and Max into the Eagles family, and man did we all have a blast!
More important for ME than all of that stuff were the memories that I got to experience with Max. He was right there by my side for over 20 games, on the ice, the video board, (we actually got the whole arena to say happy birthday to him), and the players absolutely loved him, and so did the fans.

The Eagles staff always made sure the boy was taken care of and that means the world to me. It really was like a family and I’m forever grateful to everyone.
So to the Colorado Eagles and all of Eagles Country…we truly appreciate and love you! What a blast!!
Here are just a few of my favorite memories from this past season.
