The state of Colorado has been one of the most desirable places to live in the country, and now there is another reason to live here. We'd survive a zombie takeover.

According to Careerbuilder, Denver is the ranked seventh in the nation concerning the odds of being able to survive a zombie apocalypse.

What's even better? They rank Denver as the number one city to be able to contain any disease which could start the zombie outbreak.

53 cities across the nation were measured in the study, and were all ranked according to four different categories:

  • Ability to defend against the virus
  • Ability to contain the virus
  • Ability to find a cure
  • Ability to outlast the epidemic with an ample food supply

While the capital city of Colorado fared well in being able to be able to contain the virus, we didn't fare as well for being able to feed everyone in the metro area. The region ranked low on the measurements in that category.

The number one city to survive the zombie apocalypse is Boston, Massachusetts.

New York City ranked dead last...pun intended.

(Of course, the chances of a zombie apocalypse are slim to none, but we can have fun right?)
