Armed Carjacking Suspect on the Loose in Northern Colorado
Colorado State Patrol is looking for an armed suspect that eluded officers on Tuesday morning in Larimer County. State Troopers checked on a disabled vehicle off of Highway 287 and Larimer County Road 17 near Berthoud. When troopers learned that the disabled vehicle was a stolen vehicle, backup was called in.
When backup officers arrived, the male driver fled the scene towards a construction zone with a firearm. The suspect then stole a white 2015 Ford van with dark windows. The license plate for the stolen Ford van is QZF-225. Law enforcement has not been able to locate the suspect as of yet.
The person they are looking for is described as a white male, around 5'10", 180 lbs with red hair. He could also be wearing dirty clothes and a bandage on one arm. This suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous. Law enforcement has advised that anyone who sees the suspect to call 911.
