Asphalt Paving Project on Drake Road Starting on July 6

The City of Fort Collins Streets Department will begin on asphalt paving project on Drake Road on Monday (July 6).

According to a press release from the City of Fort Collins, the project will take between 17 to 20 days depending on the weather.

Drake Road will close in one direction at a time for the duration of the project.

Phase 1 will start on July 6, and cover the area between Timberline Road to Lemay Avenue. Drake Road's westbound lanes will close first, followed by its eastbound lanes.

Once that phase is complete, Phase 2 will begin covering the area between Lemay Avenue and Harvard Street. Drake Road will follow the same closure strategy as the first phase.

Construction will usually take place form 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Alternate routes are advised during these times.
