Avelo is a No-Go! Northern Colorado Airline to Stop Service, Blames Costs
I guess those $59 flights were too good to be true. Avelo Airlines announced today that they will be suspending service at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport in the next few weeks. These quick and cheap flights to Las Vegas and Burbank have made travel a little easier for a lot of us. Most of us love the idea of skipping that painful drive to DIA and its long security lines.
Avelo Airlines will suspend commercial flights at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport to/from Las Vegas on Thursday, June 16, and to/from Burbank, California on Friday, June 24.
Fuel and supply costs were noted as reasons for the suspension. Hey, I get it, everything is so expensive, but that's why that cheap Avelo flight was great. Budget-friendly for the rest of us.
Refunds will be available to customers who have flights booked after the suspension dates. For refunds visit aveloair.com or call the Avelo customer support line at (346) 616-9500.
FNL Airport Director Jason Licon said “while this news is unfortunate, it doesn't change our airport's commitment to making travel more accessible through investment and innovation. We recognize that northern Colorado travelers are looking for convenience and value and want the public to know that we will continue to seek this from other potential service providers.”
