Awesome Colorado Christmas Drive-Thru Light Show Is Back

If you've driven I-25 in either direction around the Thornton Parkway exit in late November or December the past few years, you've no doubt seen the enormous Christmas in Color spectacular from the highway.

It's so bright and large that even from the interstate, which is miles away from the actual event, you can still see it! I took my family down there this past year the night before all of the Thanksgiving insanity took over my house and we really enjoyed it. Ever been?

Christmas in Color Light Show Now With Three Colorado Locations

While the locations at Water World in Federal Heights, and at Bandimere in Morrison have been rolling for the last couple of years, Christmas in Color is adding a third location to help spread the holiday cheer even more. The Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in Aurora is the latest home to this spectacular Christmas drive-thru event.

It's a per-vehicle cost, $35 the night we went but we got our ticket on Groupon and saved a few bucks, so we get as many people together as we can. My folks live down in Northglenn so we had them meet us and all loaded up in the bed of the truck. Dress warm, I didn't and regretted it. They added a "party pack" option this year for a few more bucks which includes different light-up toys and accessories for the kiddos.

As I mentioned, we took in this fantastic display of synchronized lights and sound last November and loved it. Here are some pictures that I took of the event from the bed of the truck as we cruised through the lights.

Review: Is Christmas In Color at Water World Worth The Drive

Is Christmas in Color at Water World Worth The Drive? We recently drove down to check it out and here are our thoughts.

Overall, we love this event and it's turned into a yearly tradition for my family and I for the last three years at the Water World location. Certainly worth the drive if you ask me.
