You may see some helicopters in the west Loveland area on Wednesday, as they'll be helping to install new power lines in the canyon. With that, comes an outage.

Loveland Water and Power (LWP) announced that there will be a scheduled power outage on Wednesday as they begin to wrap up a project they've been working on for a few years to improve power availability.

On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, they'll be setting up new power lines and power poles along Highway 34 from west of Drake to Waltonia, which will necessitate a power outage for those in that area from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

I don't think I've ever been to Waltonia, have you?

It's all a part of the Big Thompson Canyon Voltage Conversion project, which began in May of 2017.
