It's not getting any better for the students at CU Boulder.

According to a county-wide call with school officials, Boulder has decided to prohibit gatherings of any kind for those aged 18-22. This order will go into effect at 4 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 24).

The order, according to Denver7, states that students can:

"Exercise outside alone, study outside alone and go to work if they don't live in one of those residences with stay-at-home requirements. They can interact with others they live with."

The amount of positive cases at the school has been rising, with 1,198 positive cases reported as of Wednesday morning.

Boulder County urges parents and friends of students in the area to reach out and offer support for the next 14 days, which is how long the order will last.
