It was just earlier this week that we learned about the horrendous act that was committed at the King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, Colorado. That is where Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa decided to arm himself and start shooting leaving behind 10 people that had their lives cut short due to his violence.

The whole community is still very angry about what happened leading to threats with people wanting Aliwi dead for the crime he committed, so he has already been moved out of the county and placed into a different facility and that location is not being released for obvious reasons.

According to KDVR, Alissa made his first court appearance yesterday (Thursday, March 25th) facing 10 first-degree murder charges and one attempted murder charge from his rampage. The attempted murder charge comes from an attempt to kill another Boulder police officer but that attempt was unsuccessful.

What Took Place at Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa's First Court Appearance

The initial court appearance was just to let the suspect know of his charges and for him to enter a plea of guilty or not guilty. He didn't enter a plea at his first appearance which will give him more time to work with attorneys to figure out their legal plan. Although it's already been said that "mental illness" will be a large part of the defense team's arguments.
