Fort Collins could be getting a swanky little boutique hotel on the corner of West Mulberry and South Howe in two historic duplexes. The two homes would be converted into a hotel with seven rooms in each building.

According to the Coloradoan, the 14 room Flats on Mulberry is just hanging out waiting on a decision after a city hearing on Tuesday. They have 10 days to make a decision.

These duplexes were built in 1909 and housed veterans and married CSU students in the mid 40's up to the early 60's. They were certified historic by the city back in 2019 and while no changes will be made to the exterior,  the interior hardwood floors and trim, there will obviously be a few touchups that need to happen for upkeep purposes. All units will have private bathrooms and kitchenettes and rates will be between $108-$180 depending on availability.

The buildings are surrounded by rental properties occupied mostly by CSU students so this would be a great opportunity to have visiting family be able to stay close...perhaps a little too close for some though.
