Brett Michaels Having Heart Surgery Today

Brett Michaels is undergoing heart surgery today to repair a hole in his heart. Doctors plan to insert a catheter into a vein in Michaels' groin, and guide wires and a closure device into the heart. The device will stop abnormal blood flow between the two chambers of the heart. It will prevent Brett from getting future blood clots, which could lead to another stroke. We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.
