Colorado Parks & Wildlife is allowing you to catch as many fish as you'd like at Greeley's Poudre Ponds Recreational Fishery.

The reservoir will be drained this fall for construction. Currently all size, bag and possession limits are suspended under an emergency fish salvage order, the City of Greeley announced in a press release.

Valid Colorado fishing licenses are still required. Fishing is only permitted during daylight hours. The ponds will eventually be closed to the public for construction in October.

Authorities plan to restock a variety of fish species in Poudre Ponds next spring.

Poudre Ponds Boasts these species of fish:

  • Largemouth bass
  • Bluegill
  • Channel catfish
  • Black crappie
  • Rainbow trout
  • Common carp
  • Gizzard shad
