Day Vs. Night: Two Types of Christmas in Downtown Loveland
Loveland is famous for the holiday that happens in February, but that doesn't mean that the Sweetheart City is all about Valentines Day. Take a look a Christmas in Loveland.
Loveland has 'decked the halls' of Downtown Loveland for the season. From the big Christmas Tree in front of the Rialto Theatre to decorations by the Civic Center at Foote Lagoon, things don't only look festive at night, but during the day as well.
I thought it would fun to take pictures of the festiveness in Downtown Loveland at night, and again during the day. Having grown up in Loveland, and currently living in Downtown, it's great to see the city and the businesses making the season bright.
Of course, the Christmas Tree in front of the Rialto is fantastic, but the work that went into putting the white lights in trees along 4th Street was worth it. Cactus Canyon and Loveland Taproom are a couple of the businesses that have gotten into the spirit, for 2021.
There's one lone tree at the corner of 5th and Railroad that the businesses there wrapped its trunk up, which looks great. Sometimes, 'less is more,' like when it comes to Desk Chair's rooftop bar holiday lighting. Then, of course, there's The Foundry, which, overall, went pretty low key, yet festive.
With friends and family coming into town, taking them to Downtown Loveland for dinner, cocktails/craft beer, shopping or a coffee, you'll find a great atmosphere.
I can tell you this: It's not easy taking 'identical' photos at night and then during the daylight hours. 'Where was I standing?'
