Colorado Getting New Incline Challenge on Thanksgiving Day
Colorado's Manitou Springs Incline has been a famous challenge for decades, with about 300,000 people giving it a shot every year. Here comes a new one.
According to Denver 7, on Thanksgiving Day, 2020, Parker, Colorado, will open a new incline for the state.
Located about 87 miles from Fort Collins, the Rueter-Hess Reservoir Recreation Area in Parker will have a 132-step incline. The Manitou Incline has 2,744 steps, so I would call Parker's a 'baby-steps' incline as compared to Manitou's.
There isn't any information available yet on how high the Rueter-Hess Incline rises from the trailhead.
Given that so many people visit the Manitou Springs Incline, this one may be a great way to get out - without running into a crowd.
