According to FBI statistics, Colorado is in the top 25 most-dangerous states in the country, but what makes it so unsafe? Not things like mountain lions, 100 mile-per-hour-wind, bears, driving in the snow, angry elk, wildfires, tornadoes, Bomb Cyclones, etc.

A recent study by LawnStarter ranked Colorado the 21st most-dangerous state, CBS4 Denver reported, and unfortunately, this finding is based on crime statistics. So, things like, 'arson, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, murder, rape and robbery,' CBS4 said.

The good news for us is even though Colorado may be higher on the list than we'd like, three Northern Colorado cities made the top-ten safest in the state; see them here.
