Between players opting out, games being postponed and an overall shortened schedule, the 2020 MLB season has been anything but normal so far. But something that has been consistent — Charlie Blackmon's at bats.

The Rockies' center fielder is currently leading the league in batting, with an impressive .484 average through Monday, Aug. 10 games. Some of Blackmon's 2020 stats include 3 home runs, 19 RBIs, and a total of 31 hits in just 16 games. In his last game, Blackmon was on fire with four hits against the Diamondbacks. Furthermore, he's the only player in Rockies history to have two multi-hit streaks of five or more games during the club’s first 20 games

Many people wondered how he might play this season, following a mild experience with COVID-19, but it's safe to say that Blackmon is in the groove and definitely living up to the major contract he signed.

Blackmon's batting has been a huge factor in the Rockies' success this season, as they are currently on top of the NL West with an 11-5 record.
