Colorado State Men’s Hoops Back In Top 25 Ranking
Two weeks ago, the Colorado State University Men's Basketball team was undefeated and ranked #20 on the Associated Press Top 25 and #19 on the USA Today Coaches Poll. Then came a fateful weekend trip to Southern California, where the Rams dropped a game by 30 points to the unranked Aztecs of San Diego State.
Needless to say, come Monday when the next week's polls were released, the Rams found themselves on the outside looking in, dropping out of the Top 25 of both polls.
What a difference a week makes.
After a win at Moby Arena over Utah State and a blowout victory on the road at San Jose State, CSU is beginning to catch the eye of voters once again.
They missed out on ranking in the AP Poll this week, but have again climbed into the Top 25 of the USA Today Coaches Poll, earning a #23 ranking.
The Rams still have some work to do to crack the Top 25 in the AP Poll again, but they'll have two opportunities to impress this week, before the next batch of polls are released on Monday.
They'll host New Mexico on State Pride night at Moby Arena Wednesday night at 8 PM, and travel to Colorado Springs for a Saturday noon game at Air Force. Radio coverage of each will be on Power 102.9 FM, with the broadcast beginning 30 minutes prior to tipoff of each game.
The Rams are currently sitting at 13-1 and 8-0 at at home, with a 3-1 record against opponents in the Mountain West Conference.
