Colorado State Patrol: “We Recommend Not Driving Today”

Driving in Colorado and through the mountains is being advised against by the Colorado State Patrol.

There is a high risk for avalanches when entering the backcountry, avoid this area if possible. According to Colorado Department of Transportation, “I-70 mountain conditions remain extreme.”

More snow is expected for Northern Colorado, and the mountains are looking at a possible 19 more inches of snowfall over the next 5 days.
