Beginning on Sunday, Denver will be under a 10 p.m. curfew for 30 days following a rapid spike in COVID cases.

Denver officials recently said that "everything is on the table" in an effort to avoid a 'safer-at-home' order.

Liquor stores will be required to close at 10 p.m. and Denver residents are expected to be home from restaurants and other activities by curfew, as reported by Fox 31 Denver.

This order does not extend to grocery stores, hospitals and pharmacies.

“People become less careful, less inhibited the more they drink", Hancock said in a Friday afternoon press conference. “This is not about enforcement. This is about saving lives,” said Hancock.

Larimer County recently increased COVID restrictions after 650 new COVID cases were confirmed within one week.
