CU Is Temporarily Moving to Remote Learning After COVID-19 Spike

Due to a high number of COVID-19 cases on the University of Colorado's campus, officials have decided to take classes online for the time being.

The change will begin on Wednesday, September 23. According to The Denver Channel, if students are staying in university housing, they are being asked to stay there while professors work from home. In one case, an entire dormitory of students were moved out of their hall in order to isolate those infected with COVID-19.

School officials say that if students continue to disregard public health guidelines, they will be suspended. Since the start of the school year in August, CU has reported over 760 positive cases.

Talks to shut down the school if cases continue have been had, but Governor Polis says that sending the students home is not the answer.
