Last month we told you that Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider was prepping a Broadway album. Now we have a few tracks for your listening enjoyment — and if you hate them, well, blame Alice Cooper.

So how on earth did Cooper get involved in all this?

Dee told BackstageAxxess the project sprang from a series of voicemails between the two singers, saying, “I don’t know who sang the first show tune – ‘Hey Alice please call me!’ – but I said, ‘Dude, we should do a record.’ So we demoed ‘Luck Be A Lady’ from ‘Guys And Dolls.’ It came out great but at the time it wasn’t right for either of us.”

“Then I did ‘Rock Of Ages’ on Broadway for three months. I said, ‘Let me revisit it.’ I’ve had more fun with this record than anything I’ve done in years,” he added.

‘Dee Does Broadway’ won’t be released until May 8 — the same day he’ll release his autobiography, ‘Shut Up And Give Me The Mic’ — but you can pre-order it now. The track list includes songs like ‘Cabaret’ and ‘Mack The Knife,’ and also features Cyndi Lauper on ‘Big Spender’ and the stars of ‘Priscilla Queen Of The Desert’ on ‘There Is Nothin’ Like A Dame.’
