I spent seven years working in this building off of Timberline and Horsetooth in Fort Collins making computer chips, so I keep an eye on what's going on there. Recently the building was sold to become office space.

One of the hottest companies in the area has signed on to become the first tenant, using over 100,000 sq. ft. of space.

From 1990 into 1997, I worked at 2001 Danfield Court in Fort Collins. First, It was called NCR, then LSI Logic. My job was inside the fabrication area- making computer chips. Eventually, LSI was bought out by AVAGO (which is now Broadcom) and they shut the facility down.

In the summer of 2016, a group of investors bought the building to convert it into 116,000 sq. ft. of office space(s) that one or several companies could put to use.

They recently announced which company is ready to take advantage of a great location and a lot of room. Those crazy kids at MadWwire Media- a marketing software and marketing service hybrid company. They started out in Loveland in 2009 but quickly outgrew what Loveland had to offer office space-wise, and they moved the entire operation to the former HP Campus in Fort Collins.

The addition of leasing 102,000 of the 116,000 sq. ft. at the Danfield building will give MadWire the opportunity to hire upwards of 700 more employees in the next few years.

Which company will be next?
