Former WeldWerks Brewer to Open New Brewery at Windsor Mill

The Windsor Mill is becoming quite the hotspot for the Town of Windsor. First, we got the Tavern, then Cacciatore at Heller's Kitchen, and now a brewery.

I have great news. A new brewery is coming to Main Street in Windsor, in the spring of 2020.

Peculier Ales will be at the Windsor Mill - on the east side with the patio and the silo.

Peculier Ales' founder, Nick Armitage, was a brewer at WeldWerks until January of 2019. In fact, Nick was the second employee to be hired at the brewery. He left Weldwerks to pursue other opportunities, such as founding his OWN establishment.

Nick is a graduate of UNC with an Industrial Chemistry degree, as well as a minor in Brewery Science.

When I asked Nick, via email, what beers that he worked on at WeldWerks that he was most proud of, he responded:

I made a lot of the single barrel Medianoches pre 2019, Space Cowboy was one I was very happy with. I also was part of the recipe development team. So I had the pleasure of working on most of the beers from 2015 to 2018

Peculier Ales hopes to be open for business in April or May of 2020.
