While the snow didn't arrive until later than expected on Saturday, Northern Colorado found itself well blanketed with snow on Sunday morning.

Interstate 25 was closed at Wellington to the Wyoming border. U.S. 287 is also closed from Ted's Place to the border. A long stretch of I-70 is closed elsewhere in the state.

Significant snowfall is expected to continue on Sunday.

Plenty of more snow is coming. Many are advising against travel.

CBS4 Denver reports that more than 2,000 flights have now been canceled this weekend from Denver International Airport

“DEN’s three largest carriers, United, Southwest and Frontier, have cancelled the majority of flights tomorrow,” airport officials said Saturday night. “Passengers with scheduled flights on Sunday or Monday morning are encouraged to confirm their flight status with their airline before heading to the airport and use caution on area roadways.”.
