Drinking and crafting — two things that go together just about as well peanut butter and jelly. And now in Old Town Fort Collins, there's a new place where people can get their drink and craft on whenever they please.

Located at 115 E. Mountain Avenue, Extra Arts and Drafts, features a space for guests to unleash their inner creativity, while also imbibing in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a fun, tavern-like setting.

Described as a place for tinkerers and drinkers, Extra Arts and Drafts offers upscale DIY arts and crafts projects, including jewelry making, wood burning, painting and more. Fort Collins' first maker's bar welcomes people of all skill levels in, to partake in these guided projects. Rather than strictly regimented classes though, the instructors do provide all of the steps and are there to help along the way, but encourage guests to step out of the box, in order to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

Crafters can reserve their date and time slot to come into the studio through the website, and view the events calendar that displays upcoming projects. Walk-ins are welcome, but it's recommended to reserve a spot. Customers can also rent out the entire place for private parties.

According to the Coloradoan, the business hopes to partner with other local companies to host crossover classes, such as fly tying.

Individuals are welcome to stop in and just enjoy a drink from the bar as well. They offer everything from beer and wine, to ciders and non-alcoholic beverages, which can be purchased separately from the craft classes.
