From restaurants, bars and boutiques, to salons, home stores and more, Fort Collins offers tons of opportunities for its residents and visitors to support and shop at locally-owned, small businesses.

With all that our town has to offer when it comes to places like these, it's no wonder that the financial research company, ValuePenguin, has ranked Fort Collins as being the second best city for small businesses in the entire country. To determine their rankings, the research company compared 11 data points from cities across the nation, including categories such as tax rates, unemployment rate, access to loan brokers, and cost of living.

Not only did Fort Collins rank high on the list, but several other Colorado cities also made the cut as being top locations for small business owners. Our neighbors in Boulder actually came in at #1 according to ValuePenguin's rankings, Colorado Springs landed at #8, Denver-Aurora-Lakewood (combined) earned the #11 spot, and Greeley even made the list at #23. Click here to check out the complete rankings list.
