It's been a record breaking fall here in Colorado in terms of snowfall, or lack thereof, and warm temperatures. Here we are, during Christmas week, talking about fire danger, which is crazy, sad and scary all at the same time...

We also have some possible snow hitting Colorado just in time for Christmas. At least, in the higher elevations. (Unfortunately, it looks like we'll be a little too warm for any snow here along the Front Range.)

But elsewhere, we can expect a little bit of everything this week throughout the great state of Colorado.

According to KDVR, depending on where you are in Colorado, the weather will be a mixed bag of goodies. For us here in NoCo, we can expect more of the same stuff we've been dealing with over the past several weeks: dry and mild temperatures.

Sure, the night time temps will be cold enough to bring some snow, but it looks like (as of now) the closest we're going to get to a white Christmas is going to be up in Estes Park.

At the very least, the mountains are getting some snow. Even though the snow pack in most places is still very low, I have a feeling that our spring will be a late-arriving one with the lack of snow events that we've had so far along the Front Range.

We shall see.
