We went from brushing ash from the Cameron Peak Fire to brushing snow off our cars within a 24 hour period, but the early September snow won't stick around for too long.

According to the National Weather Service, the Fort Collins area will likely have rain, slush and snow through Wednesday, and a chance of rain showers on Thursday and Friday with temps in the 50s and 60s.

By Saturday and Sunday, however, it's expected to be sunny again with highs in the upper 70s and the low 80s by Monday.

Northern Colorado experienced a historic 65 degree temperature swing following Labor Day weekend, dropping from the high 90s to freezing temps; all coming after Fort Collins' hottest August, like, ever.

So, keep the snow scraper accessible for now, but by the weekend, you can put it under the back seat again.
