A 16-year-old student is facing multiple charges, including Second Degree Assault on a Police Officer, after refusing to cooperate with an officer on Tuesday (February 18) morning.

The incident occurred at Northridge High School in Greeley, when a School Resource Officer was called to help with a student who was called to the office.

According to a Facebook post from the Greeley Police Department, the student was not cooperating with the officer.

The officer then called for back up, and multiple officers responded.

There was no threat to the school and no other students were involved in the incident.

The student, who will not be identified due to his minor status, is also facing charges of Obstruction, Interference with School Staff, Resisting Arrest, and M.I.P.
