A Greeley mom has been arrested under the allegations of giving her children methamphetamines. The arrest occurred on August 18 when Greeley Police responded to a disturbance call at the apartment located near downtown Greeley.

According to the Greeley Tribune, when police arrived on the scene, they spoke with the preteen children. The girl informed the police that her mother handed her a meth pipe, telling her that she wouldn't get in trouble if she did not smoke it, but she could if she wanted.

Greeley Police also spoke with the boy who said that their mom gave him meth. When an officer asked how many times he has smoked meth, he said "too many times to count".

After consent was given by another adult living in the apartment, a K-9 unit was deployed into the residence and located what could be a meth pipe inside of a popcorn bag located next to the mother's bed.

The woman, who is not being identified to protect the children's identity, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a miny and two counts of child abuse. She was booked into the Weld County Jail and released on a $7,500 bond the next day.

The children are currently with a responsible adult and the Department of Human Services has been contacted.
