While there won't be a Greeley Stampede in 2020, the event's organizers are still finding ways to celebrate.

According to a press release from the event, the Stampede will partner with local businesses to once again host the largest fireworks show in Northern Colorado on the 4th of July. The fireworks show is a trademark of the storied event that's been held for 98 years.

Greeley Stampede will also broadcast three virtual rodeos nationally in September on the Cowboy Channel network, in coordination with the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association.

Some of the proceeds from the televised event will go towards the Weld Recovers Fund: COVID-19 Relief, which supports the Weld Community Foundation and the United Way of Weld County.

More information about the new rodeos will be released at a later date.

For those who already purchased tickets for the original event, organizers are offering ticket holders the opportunity to either receive credit for next year's Stampede, a ticket refund, or to donate their ticket money to a community organization.
