Santa Cops of Larimer County is in search of a new home, and they want your help. Previously located at the Outlets in Loveland,  Santa Cops had 5,300 square feet for their vast inventory. However, since the Outlets at Loveland closed, they have been in search of a new space.

"Tuned In to NoCo" was able to speak with the Santa Cops of Larimer County Vice President, Lindsay Panyko. She says they were so fortunate in having a space at the outlets for 10-plus years, but now are working out of storage units, which is far from convenient.

"Currently, we are in storage. We are trying to find a place because we are unable to operate out of that. Luckily, we do think we have something in the works for this year, but ideally, we are looking for a new home. We need something a little more permanent. Even something that's 3-5 years, because it is a lot of work to get this process going and get everything moved - like our shelving and inventory."

Panyko says they are looking for a space that is at least 5,000 square feet in either Loveland or Fort Collins.

"This sounds like a lot of space, but it's utilized well for what we do and our operations."

Everyone knows that Santa Cops provides families in Larimer County with gifts at Christmas, but Panyko says they actually distribute presents year-round."

"We give access to our law enforcement officers within the county to that inventory throughout the year. I'm a dispatcher for the sheriff's office. So, I've woken up with text messages saying hey, we had a rough call last night where this incident occurred. Can I get access to that stuff? And they go and get the kids some toys — it's really cool ."

Last year, they distributed gifts to over 600 families, and Panyko says it really is an incredible thing to watch.

"It's special. We have our wrap nights every year after the families sign up. The different law enforcement agencies each get a couple of wrap nights, and the officers come with their families and they get to shop for the kids with the gifts that we have. It's so cool to see the kids get so excited when the cops show up in their uniforms with their patrol car and give them the little badge stickers and deliver gifts."
