Hickenlooper Officially Drops Out Of Presidential Race
In a video released yesterday, John Hickenlooper announced he is dropping out of the 2020 presidential race.
"I ran for president because this country is being ripped apart by politics and partisan games while our biggest problems go unsolved. Now today, I’m ending my campaign for president, but I will never stop believing that America can only move forward when we work together."
Colorado Democrats are urging Hickenlooper to join the state's U.S. Senate race. Democrats believe that Hickenlooper can unseat current Republican Senator Cory Gardner.
In the announcement video released yesterday he acknowledges that many Coloradans want him to run for state Senate. He says that he will "give it some serious thought."
