Hip-Hop Radio Station Power 102.9 Launches in Northern Colorado
Hip-Hop is finally coming to the airwaves of Northern Colorado. Townsquare Media announces the launch of Power 102.9, a new FM station and app that plays Hip-Hop. The station focuses exclusively on local news, entertainment and relevant content for those who love Hip-Hop culture in Northern Colorado. The station launched at midnight on Friday, September 6.
Power 102.9 replaces classic rock station Rock 102.9, and will become the first and only radio station and app in Northern Colorado to focus solely on Hip-Hop. The station will remain the exclusive home of CSU Rams sports broadcasts. NoCo Hip-Hop fans will get their fix of artists like Drake, Post Malone, Eminem and Cardi B, among others. Commercial breaks will never be scheduled for more than two minutes on the station. Power 102.9 will be available on the FM dial, via the free Power 102.9 app, Power1029NoCo.com, Alexa, Google Home, Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
“Power 102.9 fills a massive hole in our NoCo airwaves and allows us to celebrate Hip-Hop, and its culture in our community,” said Evan Harrison, Townsquare Media’s Northern Colorado Market President.
