At first, I thought it was my old phone. Then I thought it was just my carrier. But since I moved to Colorado almost two years ago, I've come to the conclusion that cell service in Fort Collins just sucks.

I really notice it most when I'm around my gym, the 24 Hour Fitness on Harmony. I have no service in or around the gym or really in that area in general. My cell service is shoddy at best on a good day.

I just don't get it. It's not like we're in the middle of nowhere in some podunk town in the center of Iowa. We are in a very populated area with a major city less than an hour away - traffic pending - and there are times when it just drives me bonkers.

And apparently I'm not alone.

But there are apparently also issues just south of Midtown on the northeast part of town and in random sections along some of the busy roadways in Fort Collins. So, pretty much everywhere!

If you're lucky enough to live near a cell tower operated by your provider or have reliable access to Wi-Fi calling at your home and workplace, you're in much better shape than the rest of us.

I can't tell you how many times I've had to make up new curse words because a text hasn't gone through or I can't make a phone call or respond to an email. I can't imagine if something really important needed to happen like a 911 call. Now that is a real issue if you ask me.
