Colorado Costco Stores Recall Butter For Extremely Strange Reason
Recalls are a part of life in Colorado. The most common recalls involve food and vehicles. Food recalls can be scary. Just last month, a deadly chicken recall affected Colorado Target and Walmart stores. Ten million pounds of chicken was recalled due to listeria.
A recall has been put in place for Colorado and locations nationwide. The product being recalled is being removed from the shelves for a funny reason.
Butter Recall at Costco in Colorado
Costco will recall 80,000 pounds of butter across the nation due to a label issue. These are the products that were mislabeled.
- Kirkland Signature Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter
- Kirkland Signature Salted Sweet Cream Butter
Both of these products are in a one-pound package and have four, four-ounce sticks of butter, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
TODAY says that the Food and Drug Administration created the recall due to the fact that the Kirkland products do not include the label "contains milk".
This could be an issue for Coloradans that have an allergy. Due to the risk of allergy, Costco is removing 80,000 pounds of butter from their shelves.

I, along with a lot of folks on social media, find this recall to be funny. It goes without saying that butter will contain milk. It is kind of like being shocked that there is water in your favorite soda.
