Colorado Booming Again: Millennials Are Flocking From This State
We are experiencing another population boom in Colorado. Have you noticed more out-of-state license plates on our roads? People are moving from all over, but a specific age group from one state is standing out.
Maybe you can already guess the age group and state before we reveal the answer.
Key Demographic Moving to Colorado
It looks like Colorado is bouncing back after losing 7,000 residents three years ago. New information by StorageCafe points out Colorado gained 31,000 new residents in 2023. This total includes the residents who have left the state as well.

Have you noticed even more Texas license plates around? That is not a coincidence. The data found that the majority of new Colorado residents are millennials from the state of Texas.
In fact, 34,000 Texas residents moved to Colorado in 2023. That is a shocking number and we are interested to see if that number grew in 2024.
Why Texans Are Choosing Colorado
StorageCafe pointed out that a big reason why young Texans are choosing Colorado as their new home is due to Colorado is a remote working haven.
Texans are taking remote jobs and enjoying all that Colorado has to offer. 37 percent of Colorado workers work remotely at least once a month.
While this information seems accurate, we have to point out that there is conflicting report. According to a growth index, Colorado dropped 31 spots on a growth index. The information says that more people are moving out of the state of Colorado rather than moving in.
Experts predict that Colorado's net population will grow by half a million by 2030.
