Two Colorado Cities Make the Worst Drivers in America List
Drivers in Colorado are something, aren't they? Crazy drivers, oblivious drivers, drivers on their phones, and don't even get me started on people who have no clue as to how a roundabout works.
Colorado Drivers Have a Reputation
Some Colorado cities are worse than others when it comes to drivers. Take, for instance, Colorado Springs. When we were there this summer, I was nearly in a handful of accidents from people simply not paying attention. Thankfully, I had my eyes on the road and was paying attention, so I was able to avoid being hit by a clueless driver.

ConsumerAffairs recently released a list of the top 25 cities for the worst drivers in the United States, based on a list of 327 cities. Two Colorado cities made the list.
Aurora Ranks Fourth-Worst for Drivers in the Nation
One of these Colorado cities was also in the top five for the worst drivers in the United States. If you have driven through this city, you probably have a decent idea as to why it scored so high on the bad drivers list.

Aurora, Colorado, is ranked as the fourth-worst city for its drivers, and it took quite the jump from last year. In 2024, Aurora ranked as the 64th worst city for drivers. This year, Aurora made the top honors in the worst way, mainly due to the number of fatal crashes that have happened within the city limits, from bad driving behaviors.
With an average of 11.02 fatal crashes per 100,000 residents in Aurora, it is no wonder that this Colorado city ranked so high on the list. Pueblo, Colorado, also ranked in the top 25 list of bad drivers by city, but just barely, at 24th place.
