
Thousands of Computers Hacked by FBI, Colorado Targeted Too
Whatever smart device you own in Colorado your hope is that your data remains private. Smart device data says so much about ourselves. We all hope that our data is protected and it is not in the wrong hands.
These days, having complete internet privacy is nearly impossible. This last summer, there was a major data breach and many Colorado residents' names and personal info such as email addresses, phone numbers, and even social security numbers are out there.

The data breach affected 3 billion people across the globe. There has been another hack including Coloradans. This time around, the hack was executed by the FBI. Here is why the FBI was looking at data in Colorado and across the country.
About the Hack and Colorado
According to The Verge, the FBI hacked roughly around 4,200 devices in the United States and installed malware.
I know, you probably look like a deer in headlights right now. Don't worry, malware is not always bad. The FBI installed malware in computers in order to delete malware on devices from a hacking group in China.

The date when the FBI hacked into computers is currently unknown, however, it seems that the mission was successful.
About the Hack and Colorado
Forbes gave a more precise number of how many computers were hacked. Forbes says that 4,258 computers were tapped into to delete cyberwar. All the FBI did was find the computers that this specific malware by China, known as PlugX, and delete the malware.
There is no conspiracy here. It was in the best interest of our data.
