Private Planes: Are They Realistic for Most Coloradans?

I groan at the thought of going to the airport. However, I do not think I would ever pay to fly privately. Even if I was rich. I am a big point A to point B kind of guy and I do not understand why so many people fly private.
I get why famous people do it so they can fly in peace. However, most private planes cost at least $5,000 per hour. That sounds like a waste of money to me.
The answer is surprising. Especially when you look at how many private flights are in the air in Colorado during a typical day.
