Popular Northern Colorado Seafood Restaurant Closes Its Doors
Fort Collins has had a rough go of it in recent years when it comes to restaurant closings, especially those that set up shop in the Foothills Mall. Another restaurant has apparently closed to start 2025.
This restaurant has been known in Northern Colorado for quite some time for its high-quality seafood, opulent sushi rolls, and amazing cocktails. I was lucky enough to be able to go to this restaurant's soft opening years ago and I was blown away at the quality of the seafood.

Seafood is pretty hard to perfect in Colorado, as we are a landlocked state, but this place was always a favorite of those we took there.
Smokin' Fins in Fort Collins Closes
According to smokinfinsrestaurant.com, the location at the Foothills Mall in Fort Collins is mentioned nowhere on the website. Google shows that the restaurant is still open, but numerous people on Reddit say that there is a sign on the door of the restaurant stating Smokin Fins is closed.

It seems that more and more restaurants have been closing in Northern Colorado as of late. There are also many different reasons for so many of these closures. Some never recovered from COVID-19, others say that the cost of doing business has gotten too high, and some restaurants have had issues with staffing for years.
I, for one, will miss Smokin Fins at the Foothills Mall as my wife and I have celebrated our wedding anniversary at this location many times in years past. Smokin' Fins still has three locations in Colorado. Arvada, Littleton, and Highlands Ranch.
