Social Media Missed Key Context Behind the Incident
According to these sources, the full story was not conveyed on social media. Here is what actually happened.
Tacos Tacolorado Had Previous Health Citations
Health officials have already issued food citations to Tacos Tacolorado on multiple occasions. When two health officials came to the food truck due to unsanitary conditions, they were already planning on inspecting the food. If the food was not up to code, it is their responsibility to get rid of all of the food.
Why Health Inspectors Used Bleach Instead of a Dumpster
The food truck did not have a dumpster to throw away all of the contaminated food. So, the health inspectors poured bleach on all of the products to ensure that it could not be consumed, the Denver Post says. The Denver Post also says that the business did not have a proper business license, either.
