What We Know: Day 4 of Colorado’s Alexander Mountain Fire
As the Alexander Mountain Fire continues to burn in Larimer County, we will keep you updated with any information as it becomes available. Thursday marks the fourth day that the wildfire continues to burn in Northern Colorado.
As of 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, the wildfire has burned 7,648 acres with one percent containment. Authorities do not believe the Alexander Mountain Fire will move into the Cameron Peak Fire burn scar as it is too new to have any significant fuel. As of 6 a.m. on Thursday morning, Southwest Area Incident Management Team 1 has assumed command of the fire.
Alexander Mountain Fire Operations Update

The Alexander Mountain Fire has grown to 8,089 acres with 1 percent containment. Two dozen structures in the area of Palisade Mountain Drive and Snow Top Mountain Drive have been damaged or destroyed.
