Thirsty? Huge Iced Tea Chain Out of Texas Readies to Take Over a Former 7-11 Spot in Colorado
When you hear "Texas tea" you might flash right to the Beverly Hillbillies theme song, but this is literally tea, not oil. This iced tea chain, that started out in 2009, will be venturing into The Centennial State, beginning in Loveland.
This is great news for those who have been hoping for something to come into the location that was a 7-11 for over 40 years. In 2021, a new 7-11 opened up further down the street, and left a big "empty" at a major intersection. So, the brown paper will come down, and instead of Slurpees, folks will be getting big iced teas.
If you've heard of HTeaO, you're probably from the Texas area, as it appears that they are everywhere, there. It may seem weird to be a place that only (generally) sells iced tea, but look at Starbucks, or Ziggi's - they only (generally) sell coffee.
Speaking of Ziggi's, there's one across the street, to the east, from where this 7-11 used to be and where HTeaO is going in, according to the Reporter-Herald, at Madison and Eisenhower.

HTeaO technically started out in a restaurant in Amarillo, Texas. The restaurant's owners started serving their own tea, and it took off like a "healthy" oil well. Today, they have over 100 locations where you can get 25 different varieties of iced tea. They'll also have... coffee. I guess you can't be too careful.
TWO THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT HTEAO COMING TO LOVELAND
- They'll be turning the former 7-11 into a drive-thru location. All of their stores are drive-thrus, much like Ziggi's.
- They'll be installing their own charcoal-based water filtration plant. They'll take in Loveland's water, and treat it, so the flavors of their products stay consistent with their other locations. They do this with all locations.
