Another Great Local Business In Colorado Is Closing For Good
Sometimes, you just have to say, "it's time," and start packing things up. This business in Loveland, Colorado, did just that after 30 years.
You have to give them a lot of credit, succeeding like they did in the face of "Big Box Store" competition; it's a testament to hard work and giving the community a place to shop local.

Longtime Appliance Dealer in Loveland, Colorado Closes
It's hard to imagine closing a business that you've loved for over three decades, but that was the case in late October of 2024, when the couple that own and run J. Day's Appliance in Downtown Loveland.
They must have served tens of thousands of folks that live in the Northern Colorado area; folks looking for small town customer service, but also quality products.
I know our radio station has had a couple of break room refrigerators (still do) from J. Day's. They were always great.
Loveland Business Closes But Lives On
While the couple that started J. Day's, Jim and Kathy Day, are excited to begin their retirement, they are saddened to actually shut the business down. After 30 years, customers become like family.

The Day's son, Nate, will be continuing a part of the business, the installation of appliances, so that's good. It will keep the family name out there in the Northern Colorado community.
There definitely are not a lot of small "mom and pop" appliance dealers in Northern Colorado, though Manweiler Appliance in Windsor does come to mind.
