Of all the great things that Colorado has, USA Today's experts selected eight that they wanted their readers to vote on for their '10Best' awards for summer of 2025.

Colorado Places & Businesses Make USA Today's List of '10Best' Nominees

They always say, "It's an honor just to be nominated," but winning is always at least a little better. For a few weeks in the spring of 2025, USA Today readers were narrowing down a variety of lists to determine the 10 best in each.

Only one bar in Colorado made the list of nominees when it came to "Best Dog Bar" on USA Today's Spring/Summer voting.

On a regular basis, the team at USA Today launch a voting contests centered around a variety of categories. USA Today readers, and others, are then encouraged to trim the lists of nominees down to the top 10.

A few of the contest they put out in spring of 2025, centered around travel and lifestyle had eight Colorado things.

I need to use the word, "things," because while there are mostly businesses on the list, there are a few locations on the list. Voting was open for about four weeks, giving the businesses and attraction some great exposure.

By the 4th of July we'll know if these eight Colorado things made it into their corresponding list's top 10, as they have varying dates of when their voting periods end. Hopefully all eight will have made it; but the competition is country-wide, so it's hard to say which will "get a rose," and which will have to "wait until next time."
